Do you accept insurance?

I primarily accept private-pay, but am also credentialed with:

  • HealthChoice

  • Optum/ UnitedHealthcare/ UMR/ GEHA

  • BCBS

  • Beacon/ Value Options/ Emblem Health/ MVP

Please check your insurance coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • What is my mental health deductible and has it been met? If not, how much is left to pay? (Following the session, I will submit to your insurance company. If you still have a deductible that hasn't been met, your insurance company will not cover the session, and I will then bill you your insurance's rate for the session)

  • What is my copay or co-insurance per session for CPT code 90837?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

If I am not credentialed with your insurance, you may still be able to receive reimbursement from your insurance company.

  • Following the session, I can provide you with a "superbill" that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement

What are the steps to get started working together?

I offer a free brief phone consultation to determine if we are a good fit. You can either schedule a session via this website or we can schedule one via phone. Once scheduled, you will be sent an email with your login information for access to the client portal where you will need to review, complete and/or sign documents sent to you prior to the first session.

During your first session, we will discuss your presenting concerns and what you would like to work on in therapy. During each session, we will discuss your treatment goals, determine the frequency of sessions and length of treatment.

Is the information discussed during sessions kept confidential?
All communication between the client (you and/or your child) and psychotherapist (me) is privileged and confidential and is protected by law. In order for information to be disclosed, the client must present a signed Release of Information Consent Form. Only in certain special situations that confidentiality is breached, such as if a client poses an imminent risk of harming oneself or another person, if a judge issues a subpoena or if a client’s health insurance company needs information to process a claim.
